Stratos (Efstratios) Zargklis was born in 1986 in Athens,
Greece. He received a degree in mathematics and then studied in private schools in Greece, drawing, ceramics and materials technology for ceramics, for five
years. He has also attended seminars in different techniques of ceramic art, both in Greece and Italy. For the last seven years he has been involved in ceramics. He has participated in group exhibitions in Greece and France and has held a solo exhibition. He has also been awarded the second prize for sculpture in national art competition in Greece and the second prize in PanHellenic Ceramics Competition. He currently maintains his personal studio in Athens and
teaches ceramics in his own workshop.

His involvement with ceramic art is for him a deeply personal and creative path, which is constantly evolving through research, experimentation and
dialogue with the history of art and material. Through his work, he attempt to combine traditional techniques with contemporary artistic pursuits, believing that
ceramics is not only a medium of expression, but also a carrier of meaning and cultural memory.
