OCTOBER 23-24 2023 Transmutation Through Textile Painting: Exploring Symbolism and Aesthetic Metamorphosis of the Body

During her pursuit of a Master’s degree in visual arts research, she developed a research-creation project focusing on the symbolic transformation of bodily essence into a pictorial gesture, closely linked to the materiality of fabric and textile painting. Transgenerational transmission is also fundamental, as her practice of working on layered fabrics refers to ancient customs and intertwined stories. Here, the emotional, psychological, and physical engagement with paint and fabric constitutes both a reappropriation of her expression and a form of empowerment.
