Kijani means “green” in Kiswahili. This work reflects the family tree, made from bronze pieces from Ghana and beads from Nigeria and Ghana.
The two branches represent parents and the three bronze faces their children. Their uneven placement suggests the imbalance often felt within a trio—where one person may feel overlooked or different. Beneath the work’s harmonious appearance lies a quiet tension, revealing how family dynamics can carry hidden weight.
