Pillar of Fire — Exodus 13:21 is a monumental ceramic installation by Rabee Younes, comprising 45 individually wheel-thrown pottery pieces mounted on a hand-selected base of Parian marble, quarried from Paros island itself. Inspired by the biblical passage in which a pillar of fire guided the Israelites through the night, the work is an act of both devotion and craft mastery — each element thrown, fired, and assembled by the artist. The marble base roots the piece in the geology and mythology of the island, anchoring the sacred in the earthly.
